Position

Vice Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing

The Vice Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, was appointed Vice Minister of Housing in 2020, and continued in his position after the issuance of the royal decree related to the merger of the Ministry of Housing with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs in 2021. He is a member of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Housing Development Foundation "Sakan", and a member of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Real Estate, the Real Estate Development Fund, and the National Foundation for the Dead "Ikram". He participates in the strategic and executive committees and programs emanating from the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and one of the most important of these programs is the Housing Program, which was launched in 2018. He led the housing sector to achieve the national goal of raising the percentage of citizens owning a home to 60% by 2020. He held several positions and tasks during his professional career that spanned more than 21 years, as he was appointed head of the Kingdom's delegation to the Saudi-Emirati Joint Housing Council, advisor to the Minister of Housing, and general supervisor of the work of coordination for the Housing Program and the Vision Achievement Office at the Ministry of Housing. He also worked as CEO of the Saudi Rajhi Group, and General Manager of Programs and Projects in the Ministry of Defense Development Program. He holds a Master of Business Administration in 2015 from the University of Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in 2001 from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, in addition to professional certificates in program and project management.
